A difficult language with different alphabet, basic Russian can be learnt in 1, 2 or 3 months or even longer, depending on how much time you have. Lessons are normally spread over 20-hours per week. You could even do an intensive one-month course comprising 60 hours of one-to-one. Russia is an interesting tourist destination; it has some wonderful cities to explore at cheap rates, with the Historic St Petersburg topping the list.
